Application Information

When you submit a founder program application, we collect information such as your full name, email address, phone number, college or university, branch of study, year of study, and details about your startup idea (problem statement, target customer, idea stage) and motivation (why you want to join, founder traits, weekly time commitment).

Account Information

If you create an account (as a student, mentor, or admin), we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Services, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps of activity, to help us maintain security and improve the platform.

Community and Program Content

If you participate in mentorship sessions, community discussions, or program milestones, we may collect the content you submit, such as messages, notes, uploaded files, and progress updates.

We use the information we collect to:

• Evaluate and process your founder program application
• Create and manage your account, and authenticate your sessions
• Match you with mentors and coordinate mentorship sessions
• Operate community features such as discussions and team formation
• Send you application status updates, program communications, and service notices
• Monitor, secure, and improve the performance of our platform
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Mentors: Application and progress details relevant to the mentorship relationship, so mentors can provide meaningful guidance.

Your account and application data is stored in secure, access-controlled databases. Authentication uses industry-standard token-based sessions, and passwords are hashed before storage. • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data

The Services are intended for engineering students who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a minor under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

EngineerToFounder is operated from India and primarily serves engineering students in India. If you access the Services from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India or other locations where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last Updated" date above when we make changes, and material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate.
